MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., November 3, 2024 – Google Scholar introduced a transformation feature in its PDF reader, allowing researchers to use the contours generated by AI for faster and more efficient paper reading. This innovation is aimed at academics and professionals who manage a large number of research documents by providing a dynamic way to ski and deepen content.
AI schemas work as an advanced table of contents, offering bullet point summaries for each main section of a document. Users can ski key points or click on specific chips to read the relevant detailed sections, such as methods, results or discussions. This function is currently available for selected documents in English, with regular schematics available for other documents.
The update of this new version is perfect for users of Scholar PDF Reader. Automatic updates will appear next week, but users can speed up the process through Chrome Extensions page allowing developer mode and select the update option. For new users, the extension is available in the Chrome Web Store.
Beyond AI systems, Scholar PDF The reader includes features such as an overview of the above-mentioned articles, related references to figures and tables, and clear and dark ways to improve the reading experience. These tools aim to speed up the research process, enabling academics to navigate and understand complex academic materials more effectively.
