
Executive Assistant Role Opens for ISSB Chair at IFRS Foundation
FRANKFURT (Germany), 29 November 2024 – The International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (IFRS) has announced a position of ​Executive Assistant to the Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Council (ISSB). This key role ​will ​play a key role in supporting the President of the WHSC, ensuring smooth coordination and effective operations across the global sustainability standards organization.
With the post based in Frankfurt, Germany or London, the role offers flexibility for hybrid working arrangements, ​although regular travel for ​European Board weeks is a requirement. Effective ​February 2025, ​the successful candidate will be offered an indeterminate or term contract with a competitive pay and benefits plan. ​Applications are ​open until December 16, ​2024, although initial submissions are encouraged due to the timing of ​interviews.
The ​Executive Assistant ​will report directly to the President of ​ISSB and work closely with the Adviser to the President, requesting that coordination continue in international time zones. ​Responsibilities include comprehensive newspaper management, proactive programming and meticulous time to ensure the smooth functioning of the Presidency’s commitments. Exceptional planning ​skills will be essential ​to ​manage often changes in travel logistics, meeting arrangements and ​other complex administrative tasks, often in the short term.
In addition to logistical support, the ​function includes computer problem solving, visitor ​reception ​and cost communication. It should be noted that the Assistant will liaise between the President and the two internal stakeholders, such as advisors, senior management and ​support staff, as well as external stakeholders, including public servants, regulators and accounting executives. Support for commitments related to the French ecosystem, such as the Louvre Museum ​and the Club de Rome, will be part of the ​responsibility, with greater emphasis on the international scope of the role.
Key positions ​include ​extensive experience supporting senior management in global ​organizations, outstanding organizational competencies ​and a ​proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Fluidity ​in French and English is mandatory, reflecting the multicultural ​context of the organization. ​The successful candidate will also have to compete in Microsoft Office tools and have a good understanding of modern administrative technologies, including iOS.
