
IFRS Foundation Seeks New Members for Interpretations Committee
LONDON, United Kingdom, 30 November 2024 – Members of the IFRS Foundation announced a call for the appointment of three new members of the IFRS Interpretation Committee, with terms beginning on 1 July 2025. This initiative aims to improve the role of the Board in the consistent implementation of IFRS at the global level.
Interpretations of IFRS The Committee, composed of 14 voting members and a non-voting Chair, addresses issues related to the implementation of IFRS by providing authoritative guidance to promote standardized financial reporting practices worldwide. The Board’s work is essential to maintaining the integrity and comparability of financial statements in various jurisdictions.
Potential applicants are expected to have a high level of financial reporting expertise and practical experience in implementing IFRS. Administrators emphasize the importance of diversity, ensuring that people from diverse geographic regions and professional backgrounds enrich the views and decision-making processes of the Committee.
Applications are open until 31 January 2025. Interested professionals are encouraged to submit a cover letter and curriculum vitae to the IFRS Foundation Proposals Committee.
